Review:

Chapter 5 ("User Testing") discusses a controlled experiment in which 20 participants were asked to find a bug in a 7,500 line operating system simulator. Half of the participants had access to Paradocs, Price's visualization tool. The other half had access to conventional debugging materials. Results indicate no quantitative differences in debugging success between the two groups. Analysis of participants' videotaped interaction and verbal protocols was used to elaborate on debugging strategies.
